Beauty sale Bargins you *CANNOT* miss!

Sunday, 1 January 2017

I had planned, rather tentatively, to avoid the mad rampant consumerism of the January sales. Instead, I thought I would smugly shop 'just the necessities' from the comfort of my home with a baileys coffee in hand (habit that now really needs to be kicked post 2016)

Instead, I ended up somehow almost sucked into Oxford Street, and I came away with some pretty amazing sale merch - honourable mentions go to Anthropology, Cos, and the annual Selfridges sale.

Successful shopping done, I returned home and opened up the laptop,  'just to check' that I hadn't missed any must have's. Fast forward a week and I'm sat here writing this blog post surrounded by no end of cardboard boxes - wondering when I became such a reckless shopper - with one eye still on ASOS, naturally..

So I thought I'd share with you what I picked up, just incase you also feel the need to lighten your wallet and weigh down your makeup bag.

So here's the best of the beauty sales... il be covering the best of clothing/accessories in my next post, and then onto home/interior accessories. Enjoy!

-Beauty Bay-
|Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Contour Pans| Was £14  Now £7.00!

Beauty Bay is a beauty bookmark of mine for sure, and one of the first places I check out for beauty sales. One particularly good deal is -> these single contour pans <- from Anastasia which are currently half price. I think its silly to spend £39 on the full Anastasia contour palette, and end up with at least half of the shades in the kit not suiting you - and unless your a makeup artist working on different skin tones, you really don't need 6 contour shades.

Instead, by a couple of these 7-quid pans, stick them in a Z Palette and your good to go. My favourite shades are Champagne, Havana, Ash Brown and Golden Peach. They also make beautiful eyeshadows, so are good all round powders to use across multiple areas of the face.

AlphaH Liquid Gold Super Sized - Was £67 - Now £30!
My absolute favourite skin care staple. If your not sure about the benefits of using Glycolic Acid then do a little bit of research, and when you decide you want to try it out go straight for this bad boy.

I guarantee that once you've tried it, your skin will be converted forever). I'd recommend going straight for special bumper size, as the quantity is worth £67 but its only £30 in the sale and will last you through to the summer at least.
-Makeup Geek Blush Pans- Was £9.25 - Now £4.63!
Holy-Pigment! If your looking for a blush that has an insane amount of pigment, but is still easy to blend and work with, then Makeup geek are your gals. I've been a huge fan of their shadows for a while now, and I only just tried their blusher and let me tell you, it does not disappoint.

Perfect for popping into a Z palette, Id recommend the shades Covet (think Nars Orgasm but more peachy and less pink), Valentine for a sheer baby doll pink wash of colour, and Soul Mate for a cool toned pink that I think would look flattering on all skin tones.
-This Works Exclusive Bedtime Bliss Collection- Was £47.00 - Now £9.45!
We actually give out mini samples of this pillow spray on our long haul flights to help passengers get to sleep, and ever since I first experienced it I had to go out and buy myself full sized spray!

The entire This Works Deep Sleep range is to die for, and as a lavender oil addict I was always going to fall madly in love with the collection. In this kit you get a full sized bath soak, a full sized night oil and two pillow sprays and altogether its worth £47.

In the sale you can get it for under a tenner, which is insane value. If you have trouble sleeping, travel often or just like a little help to unwind in the evenings, I think you would really enjoy this collection.

I love using the spray on my pillow in hotels, it helps me to relax and the scent reminds me of home :)

Lipstick Queen Galactic Gorgeous Gift Set Was £20 Now £10!

These are such beautiful glosses by Lipstick Queen and this is an incredible way of trying them. I actually received this set as a gift, and I'm so impressed by the glosses that il be buying another in a full size for sure.

Think micro glitter shimmer packed into an intensely highdrating and not-at-all-sticky gloss and you'll be half way there...

These remind me a lot of the charlotte tilbury glosses and also of Tom Fords new metallic collection, but I actually prefer the consistency and shimmer of these. All 4 shades are really wearable and my favourite is Creation, a shimmery peachy nude.

-Eve-Lom Introductory Set- Was £109 - Now £75!

Now I know this is a little pricier for a sale set, but its very good value on a product that is loved by so many and its also totally full sized, so if your already a fan of Eve Lom's cleanser then this is a pretty good time to stock up.

In the collection you get a full sized of the cult favourite cleaning balm and a full sized daily moisturiser with SPF15, plus three samples of the advanced brightening system.

So that's all that I have to share with you for the top beauty picks. I really wanted to share products that not only work but that are actually very good value and will see you through the winter.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all of your support in 2016 - It means the world to me.

Happy Shopping!
