The 'I really really really wish' wishlist... Net A Porter edition

Wishlists are fun to read and to write...

I love compiling a list of beautiful things that are just begging to be in my life, and at some point I'm usually able to get my grubby little hands on the items I'm lusting after. Net-A-Porter is one of my favourite online shops, I love the selection of labels that they carry.

I have ordered from them in the past and each time I've coo-ed over the super luxe little black boxes that sometimes arrive the very day you ordered them - how's that for service! But the reality is I'm not really in a position to shop daily on their website (I wonder who is? - I want their life!)

So I thought it would be quite frustrating therapeutic to create a wish-list that is exactly that - only a wish. If I'm very lucky, il be able to tick an item or two off this list (birthday hints coming at you 4 months early here!) but the reality is that these beauties will probably just stay in the closet in my mind.

And oh, what a beautiful closet it is....

1/ Valentino 'The Rockstud' Medium leather handbag £1,640 (!) - First thoughts, how adorable is this blush leather studded Valentino backpack! I adore! Second thoughts, how can a little rucksack be so eye-wateringly expensive! I'm on the lookout for a good dupe...

2/ Larson and Jennings Gold Plated watch, £215. - How gorgeous is this gold chain strap watch by Larson and Jennings?! It's unisex, simplistic in design and I think it would look fab dressed up or down. I'm really loving gold watches at the moment, rose gold feels a little 'past it' to me, so this is a great way to keep a little sparkle on your wrist everyday. I think the price is super reasonable for such a classic piece, and I'm an admirer of the L&J brand.

3/ Burberry checked wool and silk scarf, £275 - I'm not usually into any accessory that screams it's brand name so loudly, but I've always been fond of the very wearable and classic Burberry check. Thankfully, Burberry is having somewhat of a renaissance and it's Danniella Westbrook days are well and truly behind them. I think this scarf would be a staple in anybody's wardrobe and I love that is absolutely huge - perfect for doubling up as a handy travel blanket/pashmina/makeshift tepee.

4/ Melissa Odabash 'Italy' Striped triangle bikini, £190 - I'm a huggggge fan of Melissa Odabash. I own a few of her bikinis and cover-ups and they are still going strong after years of being crammed into a suitcase, flung down water slides, covered in suntan oil and finally unpacked and violently machine washed. I've bought mine mostly from The Outnet (Net-A-Porters designated sale/outlet site) and so il be keeping an eye out incase this beauty makes a discounted appearance :) Because if my job I spend more than a fair amount of time in a bikini, so i do tend to go for classic shapes/patterns, higher quality fabrics and more expensive swimwear. #justifications

5/ Saint Laurent 'Cassandre' large quilted leather shoulder bag, £1,170 - I go through periods of feeling like this bag is a little overdone, over copied, and over priced - but then I spot somebody with one and fall back in love. I've had a good feel of this in Selfridges ( I do like having a good sniff and feel in the bag department - I'm that person - cringe.) and this is quite possibly the softest leather I've ever felt. I'm sold. Now if somebody would just lend me a little cash...

6/ Sophie Hulme mini leather tote, £650 - total crush on Sophie Hulme's entire range, but this bag seals the deal for me. I love the elegant but sturdy shape and beige leather, I love that it's big enough to hold everything you could possibly need (I do like to carry a lot of crap around) whilst still looking elegant, and I love the edginess from the gold accents. This is my favourite bag out of the three, and happy days because it's half the price of the others! It's a sign! :)

7/ Victoria Beckham Leopard Print hair point-toe flats, £1,150 - I firmly believe that leopard print is a neutral, and that means these babys should go with almost every outfit! I love this loafer style, when I'm not in Pijamas I do like wearing trailered trousers, and I think these would look great for spring and would smarten up a day-time look. Again, a tear inducing price but I have spotted similar styles in Dune and Topshop, so watch this space!

I hope you enjoyed peeking into my imaginary wardrobe! What would you choose? Let's chat in the comments! :)

  1. I love the Burberry scarf (I think its Daniella Westbrook days are long behind it!) and the YSL. It's my birthday this week and am scabbling around for ideas for something from my other half!
