Flying Visit... A Mimi Flys Christmas

Monday, 29 December 2014

Christmas is over already... Where did it go?! There's always such build up to the big day, and then it feels as if it's over in a minute! I hope everybody had a wonderful time and got to spend it with your loved ones. I had a fabulous few days up in the countryside with my family. It was so lovely to see my nephews opening their presents, eat way too much and just to spend a few days back at home. I'm currently in Florida, as I've had to work go sale shopping between Christmas and new year, but before Christmas is totally over and out I wanted to write a quick update! I've loved reading all of the 'what I got for Christmas' posts that are on my news feed at the moment. I'm sooo nosey and I love peaking into somebody else's Christmas! With being in Florida, I haven't the time this week to photograph everything i received. So I thought instead I would do a little Christmas round up... a festive life lately post. A flying visit of my Christmas...

I was well and truly spoilt this year. I opened some beautiful Jo Malone fragrances and bath oils, including my old faithful Peony and Blush Suede and my new favourite, Wood Sage and Sea Salt. I also received a new bottle of my all time favourite signature fragrance, Tom Ford's Black Orchid. I should be smelling sweet in 2015! My sister gave me a brilliant Gel lamp and some gel nail polishes, and I've been admiring my chip free gel manicure for a few days now. I'm really impressed with the quality and ease of use and I'm excited to be able to do a full gel manicure at home.

I received some much lusted after beauty products that I'd had my eye on all year, including lots of Charlotte Olympia goodies. Unwrapping the Dolce Vita palette made me squeal with delight, and I'm going to have to post a review with swatches very soon. I'm in love!! And I was extremely lucky and super surprised to open a brand new shiny Canon DSLR camera! It was a totally unexpected gift, and my boyfriend and I spent most of Boxing Day out walking and taking beautiful pictures. All of my blog photography is currently taken with my iPhone, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what it's capable of and improving my blogs photography! Here's to lots of pretty pictures in 2015!

Top left: The Dolce Vita Palette... Swoon! Top right: Me and my mum, clearly loving the selfie stick! Bottom left: Myself and my cutie nephew Sid. Bottom middle: Christmas tree, self explanatory really. Bottom right: The aftermath of Christmas dinner.

I hope everybody is enjoying this lull between Christmas and New Year. I have some really exciting plans for the blog in 2015, and I can't wait to share them with you all :)

Until next time,
